About Us
The Oldest Race Course in Queensland
Established in 1852 the Gayndah Jockey Club has a very proud history of country racing. The first Queensland Derby was held here in 1868, so the club has been holding horse racing events for over a hundred and fifty years, the course itself is heritage listed. The club now has two meetings a year, the Gayndah Cup on the 2nd Saturday of June and we hold a spring meeting the second Saturday in October.
